100% Austrian in-house production, therefore rapid spare parts supply
This time, two Linde L16 straddle stackers were converted for our customer, each with a Kaup carrying mandrel, mandrel length 3,000 mm.
The end customer is a building materials manufacturer from Austria that produces construction fleece wound on rolls. These rolls are transported in production using a drawbar mandrel stacker. In the future, heavier fleece rolls with an excess length of up to 5,000 mm are also to be transported. The standard vehicle with mandrel had too little residual load capacity to be able to pick up these rolls.
In order to solve this problem, the company ING. M. SCHURZ made a modification to the series vehicle to increase the residual load capacity of the vehicle.
The vehicle’s wheel arms have been extended and reinforced, which means that the load’s center of gravity is now within the wheel arms and therefore a higher residual load capacity is permitted. Another advantage is that the new pedestrian stacker with long wide-track chassis can now be operated without a driver’s license. Furthermore, lateral support rollers have been fitted to increase stability with heavy rolls.
