The SCHURZ quick-connect rod is inserted by hand between two trolley units in the crane mounting recesses and secured with a special quick-release fastener.
One drive unit weighs around 4.5 tons, and a maximum of 5 units can be connected together. Specially replaceable plastic parts prevent damage to the paintwork on the contact surfaces.
