For the safe handling of various machine parts, a crane jib is required that can lift the maximum load and also complies with the current CE directives. As the existing crane jib no longer meets these requirements, our customer is looking for a customized special solution.
Particular emphasis is placed on a narrow design to provide the forklift driver with optimum visibility. The customer also wanted the crane jib to be equipped with two rotating swivel hooks. The new crane jib is designed for use on a Toyota forklift truck with a basic load capacity of 5,000 kg and an LSP of 600 mm.
Our solution: We design a SCHURZ crane jib that is compact enough not to exceed a maximum tube width of 160 mm. This not only ensures the required stability, but also the necessary visibility for the forklift driver. The locking distances correspond to those of the existing crane to enable quick and easy replacement.
The two rotating swivel hooks are optimally positioned: The hook on the lifting mast side is locked on the upper surface of the SCHURZ crane jib, while the telescopic hook is flexibly mounted on the side. This arrangement not only offers maximum flexibility and safety when lifting, but also supports the clear view and simple operation of the forklift driver.
With this customized special solution, we enable our customers to transport machine parts safely, efficiently and in compliance with CE requirements without impairing the driver’s view.
