The SCHURZ bag manipulator is used for the comprehensive manipulation of bags.
To stack individual layers of bags, the platform is lifted to the desired stacking height. The pusher is then pushed out and positioned over the layers of bags. After the pusher has been lowered over the bag layers via an additional stroke, the bags can be pulled onto the correctly positioned platform.
The bags are deposited according to a different principle in order to avoid damage. First, the bags on the platform are placed in the correct position and then lowered onto the bags below.
The platform consists of two parts which are then moved apart hydraulically. The pusher prevents the bags from slipping away. Once the platforms have been moved apart completely, the pusher can be lifted. The special device is then ready for a new work cycle.
