Our customer wanted to use tugger train trailers to transport several components in a row to the respective storage positions. However, the travel paths in the hall were not wide enough and therefore not suitable for this type of transport. A standard pedestrian pallet truck could not be used for this application either, as the undercarriages to be picked up are too wide for conventional pedestrian pallet trucks.
How could the problem be solved? The Fa. ING. M. SCHURZ was commissioned with this case and designed a SCHURZ special vehicle – the conversion of a pedestrian pallet truck. The track width of a Linde T20 AP forklift truck with a basic load capacity of 2,000 kg at LSP 600 mm was increased and the forks were extended. This means that the vehicle does not require a driver’s license and is stable.
