100% Austrian in-house production, therefore rapid spare parts supply
The customer from the tire production sector has a fleet of 7 Linde electric platform trucks with platform dimensions of 2,500 x 620 mm and 1700 x 770 mm, load capacity of 2,000 kg at LSP 1,250 mm and 850 mm. The platform was retrofitted to the Linde R20 basic vehicle by an external German company.
However, this meant that when using the Linde electric platform truck, the lateral stability or stability was massively impaired due to the center drive of the device and the narrow wheel base of the twisting platform. There was an increased risk of tipping, especially when steering at 90° (transverse travel) or driving at right angles to the direction of travel with load changes! The situation was further aggravated by the existing load support (construction height up to approx. 2,200 mm).
The problem could be solved by the company. ING. M. SCHURZ, by fitting additional, hydraulically lowerable, rotating Vulkollan support wheels between the Linde electric drive unit and the height-adjustable platform. It had to be borne in mind that the width of the vehicle could not be increased. Due to the customer’s uneven floors, the support wheels had to be hydraulically height-adjustable in order to be able to support the vehicle. On the other hand, if the drive wheel no longer has any grip due to a large unevenness in the ground, the support wheels can be raised to increase the load on the drive wheel. Smaller unevenness in the ground is compensated for by a spring preload on the support wheels. The complete hydraulic adaptation and separate control of the two support wheels were also carried out by the specialists at the company. ING. M. SCHURZ. It should be mentioned here that the company ING. M. SCHURZ has already carried out and can offer such conversions with hydraulic platforms, but without reducing stability.
