The SCHURZ tool manipulator, suitable for a Linde E40 / 600 HL forklift with a basic load capacity of 4,000 kg at LSP 600 mm, was designed and manufactured for our customer.
The purpose of the SCHURZ tool manipulator is to safely and easily pick up forging dies with a maximum weight of 2,000 kg so that they can be transported during operation. The SCHURZ tool manipulator’s mandrels, which are specially adapted to the molds, ensure that the molds are held securely via the existing holes. Turned stops are used to pick up the mold at a defined distance so that it can then be inserted into the forging machine. The mold is secured against slipping by means of chains on the connecting links provided for this purpose.
The SCHURZ mold manipulator is mounted on the carrier plate of the forklift instead of the forks. It is also possible to mount a SCHURZ 360°endless turning device in front of it, as already in use at the customer, in order to additionally turn the molds or to be able to turn them for maintenance.
