Tipping system for seed containers

This SCHURZ tipping system was designed and manufactured for our customer, an Austrian seed company. The requirement profile was to manufacture a stationary tipping device for cleaning the seed containers, which can also be lifted and transported, as it is to be used in several halls. When empty, the containers have a maximum weight of 200 kg, a width of 1,580 mm, a height of 1,600 mm and a depth of 1,200 mm.

This individual solution for the SCHURZ tipping device now consists of a support frame with an integrated hydraulic unit and an operating unit that can be manipulated using a forklift truck.

After the SCHURZ tipping system has been set up in the desired hall, the container can now be placed in the frame or on the lower support arms of the SCHURZ tipping system using a forklift. The SCHURZ tipping system is now connected to the power supply and activated. The seed container is then secured at the top by hydraulic clamping arms. In the next step, the entire container can be tilted hydraulically into the correct position for optimum cleaning. The containers are cleaned with various tools such as brooms, scrapers and air lances. In order to provide the employees with an optimum field of vision and to illuminate the container, LED lights are also fitted in the area of the clamping arms of the SCHURZ tipping system. If required, these LED lights can be adjusted in height or swiveled away.

After cleaning, the container is swung back into its original position, the clamping arms are opened and the container can be removed again with the forklift.
