The SCHURZ foam manipulator in stationary and automated design was integrated into an existing production line as an independent unit. With the manipulator, foam blocks with a maximum weight of up to 400 kg are clamped, lifted, moved and lowered onto the conveyor line rotated by 90° within 30 seconds. This is necessary to bring the foam blocks into the correct position for trimming. The function visualization and user interface were installed on the existing control station computer.
