The SCHURZ wheel clamp enables the lifting of railroad wheels with an overhead crane. Clamping takes place purely mechanically and automatically during the lifting process by means of double rope guidance via the dead weight of the wheels.
The clamp can be opened manually without load. Additional TÜV approval on customer request. The wheels are mounted one above the other on a mandrel. This means that the clamp must be open between the ropes.
