The SCHURZ lifting and turning device was manufactured for our customer, which produces bakery machines and systems for baked goods, as an assembly aid for lifting and setting up baking ovens with a maximum weight of 2,000 kg.
The requirement is that these ovens and their accessories have to be assembled and set up at various customers’ premises. However, this requires the ovens to be lifted and turned safely.
The SCHURZ lifting and turning device was designed and manufactured for this individual application. The brackets of the SCHURZ device are screwed to the ovens before they are set up. These are adjustable and can therefore be adapted to the various screw-on points of the ovens.
The racks of the SCHURZ lifting and turning device are sent to the customer together with the ovens and, thanks to their design, can be easily maneuvered to the respective installation site using rollers. The oven can then be mounted on the racks using the brackets that have already been screwed on. This creates a mechanical connection between the oven and the SCHURZ lifting and turning device.
In order to be able to maneuver the oven, self-locking mechanical winches and rotary gears with manual cranks are used, which have been determined in various tests. With the cranks provided for this purpose, it is possible to raise/lower the oven or rotate it by up to 180°. This enables our customer’s ovens to be set up safely and efficiently.
