The SCHURZ pipe manipulator for crane operation in suspended design including mast and cabin unit is used to manipulate plastic pipes with a maximum length of 6 m and a maximum weight of 5 tons.
The pipes are positioned and stored automatically in a hall in a space-efficient and material-friendly manner, standing upright or, depending on the diameter, inside each other. Fine positioning is carried out manually, as the crane operator is located directly above the upper pipe level at a height of 6.5 m.
Automatic pipe diameter adjustment, lowering cut-off when the gripper head is correctly lowered, automatic clamp force adjustment, etc. make handling easier for the driver. The SCHURZ pipe manipulator is equipped with an additional safety clamp, which guarantees damage-free and safe movement of the load without swinging.
All movements are electrical and are controlled and monitored via Siemens S7 controllers. Including data communication with warehouse management software.
