The second rigid SCHURZ long goods spreader beam was manufactured for our customer in the desired design for a new Hyster front loader with a basic load capacity of 8,500 kg at LSP 600 mm, equipped with a hydraulic shaft fork positioner. Due to the changed design of the fork positioner on the forklift compared to the previous forklift models, the design of the long goods cross beam also had to be changed!

At the customer’s plant in the wood industry, chipboard panels with a depth of 2,000 mm and a width of 6,000 mm are to be handled safely and without damage. To prevent the chipboards from bending, they are now placed on a total of 4 forks using the SCHURZ spreader beam. fork tines. The upper edge of the fork blade and the fork tips of all 4 pcs. Forks must be aligned!

The SCHURZ long goods spreader beam is attached to the base frame of the fork positioner on the forklift truck and locked in place and secured against slipping by means of the SCHURZ special locking device (special hook shape grips the fork positioner – base frame of the forklift truck).

The rigid fork spacing of the traverse is 4,500 mm (AK). The scope of services of the company ING. M. SCHURZ also includes the professional assembly of the SCHURZ lifting beam at the customer’s site by one of our fitters. This is necessary to align the fork tips with the existing forklift forks.
