For our customer, who is active in the field of wire goods production, an existing Kaup mandrel in the desired design was supplied by the company. ING. M. SCHURZ converted and optimized. The carrying mandrel is used on a newly purchased Still RX 60- 50 / 600 with a basic load capacity of 4,990 kg at LSP 600 mm.
The loads are wire rolls. Due to the incorrect purchase of the new stacker, the required lifting height is not reached, which is necessary for depositing on the respective machine. In addition, the rolls are caught on the standard carrier plate of the stacker.
To solve this problem, the load-bearing mandrel was developed by the company. ING. M. SCHURZ modified and optimized. For this purpose, the lifting mandrel was designed so that it can be used turned through 180°. This increases the lifting height by approx. 500 mm. To counteract the problem of wire entanglement, two new SCHURZ load stops with the appropriate dimensions were manufactured. The top and bottom screw-on jaws had to be swapped in order to use the lifting mandrel. For this purpose, the holes on the base plate of the support mandrel were also replaced. The side SCHURZ load stops are mounted via the carrier plate of the forklift truck and are flush with the base plate of the support mandrel on the front surface.
The entire support mandrel is now optimized again for efficient work without a great deal of effort.
