This SCHURZ support mandrel was designed and built for our customer, a well-known system supplier for roofers, tinsmiths and master carpenters.
The decisive factor is that this SCHURZ lifting pin can be used with a Jungheinrich EFG 430k with Kaup ZVG/SV type 3.5T attachment and a residual load capacity of 2,470 kg at LSP 500, as well as for a Combilift 4-way type C 4500 with a basic load capacity of 4,500 kg at LSP 600 mm (without attachment). These are different forklifts with different fork dimensions, but the same lifting arbor is to be used.
Bitumen rolls with a maximum weight of up to 1,000 kg and a length of up to 5,000 mm are handled with this individual version of the SCHURZ carrying mandrel.
The SCHURZ lifting pin is picked up by the various fork dimensions of the forklift truck and secured against slipping.
When using the SCHURZ support pin on the Jungheinrich forklift truck, the forks are secured against slipping by changing the fork spacing via the hydraulic fork adjustment in the fork entry shoes. Two lugs of the SCHURZ support pin behind the retracted fork backs secure the truck against unintentional slipping off the forks.
When using the special mandrel on the Combilift forklift truck, the safety chain supplied is used to prevent slipping. To do this, the safety chain is placed over the fork carriage and then secured with the carabiner.
