Our customer, a leading international supplier of flexible packaging materials, was faced with the challenge of transporting heavy paint containers safely on the factory premises. Due to the dynamic forces during transportation, there were repeated accidents caused by the containers tipping sideways. To minimize these risks and maximize safety, we developed the SCHURZ special container securing system – a tailor-made solution specifically designed for use with the Linde R16G forklift truck with a load capacity of 1,600 kg at LSP 600 mm.
The SCHURZ special container securing system offers hydraulic securing of containers with different dimensions, which protects against both tipping sideways and sliding forwards. It is mounted on the left and right of the FEM support plate of the reach truck and is fixed to the support plate holes. The function of the sideshift is not impaired, so that the truck can still be used flexibly.
The customer welds round steels onto the existing containers, the exact positioning of which we determine for a container that is provided to us. The paint containers are picked up with the forks of the forklift truck. The forklift truck with the paint container may only be put into operation once the safety hook on the round tubes has been securely engaged.
