The SCHURZ slip coupling suitable for a Kalmar forklift type DCE 120 – 12 with a basic load capacity of 12 t at LSP 1,200 mm is mounted without tools on the rear hitch of the forklift with the existing through bolt.
The connecting cable with a length of 10 m (loops on both sides) is hooked into the slip coupling and onto the rail wagons to be moved with a maximum weight of 270 t in order to be able to manipulate them parallel to the rail tracks using the forklift.
If the wagon overtakes the forklift during the towing process, the connecting cable is automatically released from the coupling.
