Like almost every production company, this particular customer also needs fork extensions for their forklift truck. In order to secure the standard fork extensions on the forklift forks, the forklift driver has to dismount and manually secure the fork extensions to the forks. These special SCHURZ fork extensions were built to avoid this work step. This enables simple and fully automatic attachment and securing without the forklift driver having to leave his workplace.
The SCHURZ fork extension in partially enclosed design fits on a Still forklift truck type RX 70-40 with a basic load capacity of 4,000 kg at LSP 500 mm and a Kaup attachment type 4.5T 466 BZ with a basic load capacity of 5,000 kg at LSP 500 mm.
The fork extensions are picked up by forklift forks and secured with our special self-locking skirt lock. The fork extensions must be positioned at a clear upward angle when picked up. This must be ensured by the customer using a storage rack. Once the extension has been picked up, it is automatically secured when it is horizontal on the base fork. Conversely, the fork extension detaches itself again when it is placed back in the storage rack.
