This SCHURZ roller conveyor was manufactured for our customer, a well-known paper company, for the following Linde front loaders in the company: Linde E30/600, Linde E50/500, Linde E50/600.
Once the paper has been produced using the customer’s production machines, the finished paper rolls must be transported optimally and, above all, without damage. These rolls have a maximum weight of 3,300 kg, a diameter of 1,000 – 1,250 mm and a maximum length of 2,170 mm. The previous method of transporting the paper rolls with the forks of the respective forklift trucks was neither safe nor gentle. Slip-on shoes do not offer a solution, as the forks are pushed apart extremely by the paper rolls.
Therefore, the company ING. M. SCHURZ, who designed and built the special SCHURZ paper roll manipulator. The SCHURZ roll transporter is picked up via the FEM 3 carrier plate instead of the forks of the above-mentioned forklift trucks.
The rigid construction and the special prism design of the arms of the SCHURZ roll transport device now enable damage-free and safe handling. It is important to pick up the paper rolls lengthwise.
