A manufacturer of bakery machines needed a turning device that can be rotated 360° endlessly in order to be able to empty its dough bowls optimally. The Fa. ING. M. SCHURZ took a close look at this project in order to find the optimum solution for the customer.

A turning device including a carrier plate adapter was therefore designed and manufactured.

The forks are removed from the existing Jungheinrich EFG 430 forklift truck and the 360° endlessly rotating rotator, including the carrier plate adapter, can be attached. The carrier plate adapter was necessary because the suspension of the forklift with FEM 3 is larger than the suspension of the rotator with FEM 2. The rotator must be designed for the load specified in the technical description and, among other things, should be able to empty the dough bowl sideways at a height of approx. 4 m.

The hydraulic function of the sideshift is used for hydraulic control.

In order to be able to empty the dough optimally into the machine, the customer required a distance of 1,200 mm or more from the front edge of the lifting mast profile to the middle of the dough bowl. In addition, standardized FEM jaws were ordered, as these jaws are screwed onto a special device built by the customer.
