The SCHURZ container transport hook was manufactured for our German customer, a manufacturer of pallets, for a Linde forklift truck type H 50 with a separate Cascade sideshift and a residual load capacity of 4600 kg at LSP 500 mm.
How can you legally lift 7.5 t with a 5 t forklift truck?
Due to the low forklift capacity and the maximum weight of the containers (7.5 t on the suspension hook), it was necessary to get the suspension point of the containers as close as possible to the forklift. Another customer requirement was to be able to pick up the container manipulator without removing the forks. It should also be noted that different containers have to be maneuvered.
The Fa. ING. M. SCHURZ was commissioned with this case and manufactured the SCHURZ transport hook specially designed for the customer in a suspended version, which is now close to the lift mast. This ensures the stability of the forklift truck even for 7.5 tons. The suspended position was necessary to be able to position the forks above the container. In addition, the steering angle was optimized in the design. It is now possible to maneuver all differently sized roll containers in the company with this one SCHURZ special device.
The SCHURZ container pushing and pulling device is equipped with fork entry shoes for mounting with the forklift forks. To protect the Cascade sideshifter, it is secured by means of a chain via the forklift carrier plate.
