The Fa. ING. M. SCHURZ has manufactured a Schurz adapter for use with a Rockinger trailer coupling as a subcontractor for a Linde front forklift truck.
The towing loads are various truck trailers. To make it easier to couple and uncouple the trailer drawbar to the forklift, the end customer requested a Rockinger trailer coupling on the forklift.
As this is not fitted as standard by the forklift company, the Rockinger trailer coupling was fitted professionally by the company. ING. M. SCHURZ carried out.
An adapter plate was manufactured for this purpose, which creates an optimum frictional connection with the round counterweight of the forklift truck. The purchased Rockinger towbar was bolted to the adapter plate in accordance with the regulations and the entire unit was attached to the appropriately adapted counterweight using sufficiently dimensioned bolts. This means that the SCHURZ Rockinger towbar can be dismantled/assembled if necessary, e.g. when using the original forklift towbar. This enables safe and CE-compliant manipulation of truck trailers using a forklift truck.
