Individual optimization of the forklift cab
Cost savings through conversion instead of new purchase
This time the company ING. M. SCHURZ was commissioned to retrofit a forklift cabin, including doors and cabin heating.
Why was retrofitting or this conversion necessary? Our customer has a remote hall on its premises that is not heated and is used exclusively as a storage area. At regular intervals, various tasks have to be carried out in this hall using forklift trucks, such as loading and unloading trucks and storing and retrieving goods. For this work, a forklift driver spends several hours, sometimes even the whole working day, in this hall, which is unheated in winter. The customer site is located in a higher, winter-safe region, where daytime frost is often to be expected. The forklift drivers are therefore exposed to very unpleasant external conditions for several hours. The Linde E16 had front and rear windows and a roof section. For this reason, the forklift truck cab was replaced by the Fa. ING. M. SCHURZ with steel doors and a forklift heater. This heater is supplied with energy via the truck’s power supply. This conversion ensures that the operator can carry out his work in comfortable conditions even in unpleasant weather conditions.
