For our customer, the SCHURZ overhead guard was raised by approx. 100 mm to fit a Linde TGL16 pedestrian stacker with a basic load capacity of 1,600 kg at LSP 600 mm, in order to give the driver more headroom in the standing area and better upward visibility.
Lattice boxes are manipulated with the pedestrian stacker. First two boxes are stacked on top of each other, then three boxes are stacked separately. With five pallet cages stored on top of each other, there is a high risk that they could fall onto the unprotected forklift driver. For this reason, the basic unit was equipped with a driver protection roof.
The SCHURZ overhead guard consists of 4 vertical struts, which are bolted to a robust bracket welded to the lift mast. The top of the overhead guard is designed with a flat iron grating. The vehicle width is increased by approx. 100 mm.
