This SCHURZ telescopic crane arm was manufactured in the desired design for a Jungheinrich DFG 670 with a basic load capacity of 7,000 kg at LSP 600 mm for our customer in the timber industry.
The loads are various tools and production machines for wooden floor production with different weights. The load weight is limited depending on the residual load capacity of the forklift truck with the telescopic crane arm attached. For this purpose, corresponding load capacity diagrams were produced for various forklifts for attachment to the forklifts. In order to be able to manipulate the loads accurately and safely from the production hall, it is necessary to adjust the reach of the crane hook.
The SCHURZ crane hook can be manually extended up to 6 m for this purpose. A special roller guide ensures smooth manual operation. To solve the customer’s space problem, the SCHURZ telescopic crane hook has been designed with multiple telescopes. The extendable parts are marked every 500 mm and it is possible to lock the telescopic arms at these positions using bolts.
The SCHURZ telescopic crane arm is picked up via the forks. It is locked via the fork adjustment of the forklift truck. This means that no additional effort is required from the operator (getting off the forklift).
