Our SCHURZ long goods spreader beam was specially developed for our customer, who owns a Combilift C8000 forklift truck with a load capacity of 8,000 kg at LSP 600 mm. With its innovative design and hydraulic functions, the SCHURZ long goods spreader beam ensures maximum efficiency when transporting long goods and heavy loads.
The lifting beam is designed to safely transport loads weighing up to 3,500 kg. When retracted, the maximum load capacity increases to 4,000 kg, provided that the load rests evenly on all six forks. This offers an ideal solution for transporting loads with a depth of 1,200 mm and a length of 8,000 mm to 16,000 mm.
A special highlight of the spreader beam is the level compensation (rotator), which enables an adjustment of approx. +/- 150 mm on the outer forks with a fork extension of 12,000 mm. This function ensures that stable transportation is guaranteed even with uneven loads.
The six special extension forks are arranged in three pairs: Two fixed forks at the height of the carrier plate (inner pair), two fixed forks to the side of the carrier plate (middle pair) and two adjustable forks (outer pair). The adjustment range of the outer forks extends from 8,000 mm to 12,000 mm, with a usable length of 1,200 mm.
A high-quality gearwheel flow divider is used to optimize the synchronization of the forks. This guarantees smooth movement and maximum stability. When fully extended, the front edge of the load is at 2,450 mm with a load depth of 1,200 mm. The load’s center of gravity shifts forward by 100 mm, which affects the residual load capacity. For a better view, the main beam is moved slightly forward to provide the operator with optimum working conditions.
The lifting beam can also be equipped with a camera system at the customer’s request. Three cameras between the fork pairs ensure optimum monitoring of the load. The monitor in the vehicle cab offers various image modes and interval-controlled image switching to ensure full control at all times.
