SCHURZ, your Austrian partner and manufacturer, guarantees rapid support and spare parts service in the event of questions, problems, service and damage.
For our customer, a component supplier for the elevator industry, we have already delivered the second SCHURZ telescopic push rod in the desired design (triple telescopic) for a 6-ton forklift with hydraulic quick couplings.
The loads are collis with a maximum weight of 8 tons. These collis are to be pushed into various containers in a way that is gentle on the forklift and material. Previously, the collis were pushed into the container with the forklift using a rigid bar. However, this quickly resulted in the forklift drive being overloaded and damaged. With the SCHURZ telescopic insertion device, the forklift is braked and the drive is relieved. The forklift is then pushed in purely hydraulically with appropriately dimensioned special cylinders. The hydraulic shifting path is 5.7 m, with an overall length of only 3 m.
An additional challenge when moving in containers is the careful positioning of the Collis. In order to ensure that the Collis can be moved to the desired location as quickly and damage-free as possible, a special, robust moving plate has been attached to the front.
The hydraulic SCHURZ telescopic push rod is picked up by forklift forks with dimensions of 150 x 70 x 1,580 mm via the entry shoes and secured against slipping with the special SCHURZ pin safety device.
Hydraulic quick couplings guarantee quick connection and disconnection of the required hydraulic functions.
To ensure smooth operation of the telescopic push rod, the container floor must not be heavily soiled or damaged. When using the SCHURZ telescopic push rod, it may be necessary to use friction-reducing agents in order to be able to move the collis in the container.
