The SCHURZ extension forks can be operated hydraulically and were manufactured for our customer to fit a Still RX 70-45 stacker with a basic load capacity of 4,500 kg at LSP 500 mm.
The hydraulically operated SCHURZ fork extension is used, among other things, for the following problem: if a truck is to be loaded or unloaded from one side, the conventional fork length of 1,200 mm is not sufficient to reach the pallet behind it. Additional fork extensions are often attached manually and locked in place. During normal operation, these then have to be unlocked and removed again. This is no longer necessary with the hydraulic SCHURZ extension forks.
With the SCHURZ extension forks, the length of the forks can be extended from 1,600 mm to 2,000 mm, enabling efficient working. In this specific case, two stacks of empty pallets (special dimensions) can be picked up one behind the other – or a full pallet can be pulled in. This means that empty pallets can be unloaded twice as quickly. The SCHURZ hydraulic fork extension is available in individual construction and extension lengths.
