The SCHURZ conversion of a Linde E16C EVO forklift truck involved the complete dismantling of the original cab and the production of a reinforced special cab. The reason for the conversion is the operation of the truck in drive-in racks with an internal clearance of 1,010 mm. The original cab has a width of 960 mm, which is therefore too wide with a clearance of 25 mm.
The original tilt cylinders were fitted to the new cab. The front, roof and rear windows were manufactured and installed to match the new cab shape. A special steel door with window glazing was manufactured and installed on the left to protect the driver. A simple closed PVC tarpaulin was installed on the right.
