Our customer, a leading international manufacturer and recycler of non-ferrous metals, relies on maximum efficiency and safety in its production and recycling processes. Various basic vehicles with a basic load capacity of 3,500 kg for LSP 500 mm and a basic load capacity of 4,500 kg for LSP 500 mm are used to transport copper materials and scrap metal.
In order to meet the flexible requirements of in-house transportation, our customer opted for our SCHURZ self-locking fork extensions including storage rack.
These fork extensions have been specially developed to handle larger and bulkier metal loads safely and efficiently. The innovative self-locking skirt lock ensures that the fork extension is automatically secured as soon as it is picked up by the forklift forks and brought into the horizontal position. This ensures easy and safe handling during the entire operation.
Equally practical is the automatic unlocking function, which is activated as soon as the fork extension is placed back in the appropriate storage rack. The storage rack itself was also manufactured by us according to the customer’s specific requirements. It enables the fork extensions to be stored safely and correctly in the required inclined position so that they can be picked up and put down efficiently and easily. This customized solution not only improves efficiency in daily operations, but also safety for employees.
This combination of specially developed fork extensions and a customer-specific storage rack enabled us to optimize our customer’s internal logistics processes while ensuring a high level of safety.
