For our customer, an Austrian company from the construction industry, the SCHURZ double pallet fork was manufactured in the desired design for a Jungheinrich TRG 425 s with a basic load capacity of 2,500 kg at LSP 500 mm.
The loads are individually wrapped polystyrene blocks with a height of approx. 2.5 meters, which are to be transported safely. In order to be able to work more efficiently, two blocks are picked up next to each other at the same time. Standard Euro pallets (lengthwise + crosswise) can also be picked up with the SCHURZ double pallet fork.
At the customer’s location, however, there is often the problem that wind conditions can be very strong. This environmental impact could cause the polystyrene blocks to be carried away and damaged during transportation.
In order to remedy this problem, the company ING. M. SCHURZ, a special load holder is mounted on the base frame of the SCHURZ double pallet fork, which secures the polystyrene blocks against tipping sideways and slipping forwards on the forks.
The load holder is operated hydraulically and can secure the polystyrene blocks with clamps. The clamping force of the load holder can be preselected to prevent damage to the load. The existing fork length of the SCHURZ double pallet fork can be fully utilized as the load holder does not require any additional front boom dimension.
