One of our customers had the following problem: he needed a new cab for his forklift truck because the existing one had been damaged in an accident. Unfortunately, it was no longer possible to purchase such a cab with a roof window from the factory. However, a roof window is absolutely essential in this company, as loads have to be manipulated at a height of approx. 6 meters. In this case, only a conversion could help. But this is where the next obstacle arises, as the conversion of a forklift cabin requires compliance with various regulations and standards.
The Fa. ING. M. SCHURZ has taken on this task and rebuilt a forklift cabin, taking into account the specifications and standards, in order to be able to guarantee the customer the quality of work and safety of his company again.
The conversion included cutting out the cabin roof and the laminated safety glass (LSG). In addition, the protective grille above the cabin roof was reinforced to ensure increased protection from falling parts. All measures were carried out and approved under the supervision of an expert.
The converted forklift cabin was also approved by a civil engineer.
