One of our clients has its own department for the repair and maintenance of large truck containers. In order to be able to push the containers from the storage location to the workshop and back again, the customer had a simple hook mount, which was picked up using forklift forks. Due to the large load center of gravity of the insecure locking system and the extreme mechanical loads on the forklift truck, a quick-change attachment was required. For this special application, the company ING. M. SCHURZ designed and built a container manipulator.
The SCHURZ container manipulator fits on a Jungheinrich stacker with side shift, with a basic load capacity of 4,500 kg at LSP 600 mm.
The existing forks are mounted once on the SCHURZ adapter. The adapter is equipped with tool-free quick-release fasteners and can therefore be quickly mounted or removed from the forklift truck without tools within a few minutes. Instead of the forks, the SCHURZ container manipulator can now also be attached without tools.
A fold-out stand provides secure storage, while the rotating container holder ensures safe and low-wear maneuvering of the containers.
