For our customer, who produces roof and facade systems made of aluminum, this SCHURZ unloader was manufactured in the desired design. It is suitable for a Still RX 60 – 50 forklift truck with a basic load capacity of 5,000 kg at LSP 500 mm, as well as for a Jungheinrich ETV Q 25 reach truck with a basic load capacity of 2,500 kg at LSP 600 mm.
Existing metal boxes with scrap metal are to be emptied. The boxes have a maximum weight of 1,000 kg. The different dimensions of the boxes had to be taken into account and the device had to be designed to fit several forklifts in use. In addition, a greater emptying depth is required in the large container.
The Fa. ING. M. SCHURZ manufactured the rotary unit of the SCHURZ emptying device in this case in front of the fork tips in order to achieve the reach required by the customer.
The forks are adjustable on the carrier plate and can be adapted to the loads. There are locks on the top and bottom of the special forks to ensure that the turning process can be carried out safely.
The SCHURZ container emptying device is picked up and secured using the forks, the hydraulic connection is made using quick-release couplings. The containers are picked up crosswise using the forks of the attachment and can then be rotated 180°.
