For our customer, an Austrian company for the production of wires and overhead cables for electrical energy and data transmission, the SCHURZ lifting mandrel was manufactured in the desired design for a Linde stacker type E 25 with a basic load capacity of 2,500 kg at LSP 500 mm and a Toyota stacker type SAS 30 with a basic load capacity of 3,000 kg at LSP 500 mm.
The loads are residual wire coils or spools which, after unwinding, are either to be stored as loose coils or picked up and transported for disposal. With the SCHURZ carrying mandrel, all coils in the remnant store with a total length of 2,500 mm and a maximum total weight of 400 kg can be picked up. The SCHURZ carrying mandrel is located under the forks, so the reels are suspended underneath. The position of the fork tines in relation to the mandrel is manufactured at a specific distance from each other and is therefore precisely tailored to the customer’s requirements for this special application.
The SCHURZ carrying mandrel is picked up by the forks of the forklift truck and secured against slipping by means of a chain.
