The SCHURZ drum emptying device was modified and optimized as follows in the course of servicing.
In addition to a new coating on the drum holder shells, these have been fitted with an additional holder so that adapter shells for new drums can be fitted using the SCHURZ quick-release cotter pin system. The additional adapter shells are designed for a smaller drum diameter. The groove additionally secures the drum against slipping on one bead.
